Who am I? That is the question.

Matt “Steady” Ricetti
Session Drummer • Singer-Songwriter • Educator
I believe in the power of music to bring joy, hope, and positive energy into people’s lives. Music has a way of turning moments, sometimes dark ones, into something brighter and more meaningful, and that belief is what drives me as a musician. My goal is always to create an atmosphere where people can relax, connect, and genuinely enjoy the moment.
I studied at Berklee College of Music for five years, where I developed a deep understanding of groove, musicality, and collaboration. I work as a professional studio and performance drummer, known for being dependable, versatile, and energetic. Rather than focusing on flashy drum parts, my philosophy is to serve the song. Listening with intent, playing musically, and supporting the artists around me to help bring their vision to life.
My musical influences range from Bob Dylan, Supertramp, The Beatles, U2, and Gordon Lightfoot to Clyde Stubblefield, Zigaboo Modeliste, Steve Gadd, and Charlie Parker. I regularly perform throughout the Boston area and New Hampshire at venues such as City Winery, The Lily Pad, and Pembroke City Limits. I’m always excited to collaborate on new projects and work with musicians who care deeply about the music they’re creating.
When it comes to my music/art for the music (album cover, or any art for my music), I do not use AI.
