Matt “Steady”
Ricetti

Matt Ricetti

I believe in the power of music to bring hope into peoples lives. It can take a dark moment and turn it into something bright and beautiful. This is why I pursue music, to spread hope for this world through my music. I pursued it so much that eventually I found myself at Berklee College of Music, where I spent 5 years learning the intricacies of music. The miracle of life is a beautiful thing and with each creative moment of my life I try to make something wonderful.

What People Are Saying About Me

He’s a Little Reminiscent of a Younger Elvis Costello

“He’s a little reminiscent of a younger Elvis Costello. ”The song — and his haunting but wry performance of it — hits a number of chords with viewers in the sense that it brings out a shared experience of both sadness about the present circumstances and hope for the future. ”

A Pleasure to Work With

“I had the pleasure of working with Matt when he toured with me as our drummer, and I was truly grateful to have him on the team. From the start of rehearsals through the long days of travel and performance, Matt consistently impressed me with his enthusiasm, reliability, and strong work ethic. Touring can be extremely demanding, yet he approached each day with a positive attitude that genuinely lifted the entire group.

He was always thoroughly prepared, highly adaptable to new venues and last-minute set adjustments, and fully committed to delivering his best. Matt is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, which added real versatility and depth to our rehearsals and performances.”

Familiar and Fresh Pushing the Boundaries

“Matt doesn’t shy away from putting in the work.  His ability to be engaging and laser focused isn’t limited to the stage.  Being a multi-faceted, multi-instrumentalist isn’t easy, and somehow he makes it feel natural.  You can tell the stage show matters to him—especially growing in his understanding about how to connect with his fans from behind a drum kit.  Reminiscent of a young Gavin Rossdale in his sound, he is familiar and fresh pushing the boundaries of what it means to be a lead singer.”
